The client is an international consulting company in technology, design, and advisory services. We are looking for an electrical designer who wants to be part of the automation unit within the manufacturing industry. The role involves ensuring that projects receive correct, safe, and well-functioning electrical systems – from the quotation phase to final commissioning. You will work in a varied project environment with new constructions, modernizations, and technical challenges within industrial automation. As an electrical designer, you will work in project form throughout the entire development chain. You will participate in the quotation phase to estimate time, costs, and technical scope, and then follow the project from design to control and inspection. Most assignments involve new constructions, and the work is primarily done from the office with some customer visits. 

Central tasks: 

• Create, update, and quality assure electrical designs and participate in quotation work with technical assessments.
• Be responsible for electrical design, component selection, and technical support for electrical assembly throughout the project. 
• Follow projects from design to inspection and startup, including drawing reviews and checks with colleagues. 
• Maintain ongoing dialogue with customers and suppliers regarding technical solutions and ensure that the design meets requirements for functionality, safety, and cost-effectiveness. 

The work may also involve upgrades of machines and installation of entirely new systems. Travel occurs between Skövde, Laxå, and clients, but to a limited extent, and no personal car is required.

• Technical education at the university level, vocational school, or equivalent
• At least 3 years of experience in electrical design within industrial automation or process industry 
• Experience working in E-plan or equivalent systems
• Swedish and English in speech and writing 
• Driving license B 

Experience with Systema or other relevant complementary tools is a plus. A background in industrial production or technical roles related to automation environments is also valuable. You are a team player who thrives in project form and feels comfortable in dialogue with both customers and suppliers. You work meticulously and independently, have a problem-solving approach, and are used to handling details and regulations. A technical interest and a desire to contribute to high quality in every delivery are important qualities for the role.

Salary: Fixed monthly salary

Scope: Full-time, permanent
